My name is Wenyu Ren (任问宇). I'm currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am doing research in the area of mobile networking and network security under the supervision of Porf. Klara Nahrstedt. I got my B.E. degree in Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University.
July 2017: My paper "ISAAC: Intelligent Synchrophasor Data Real-Time Compression Framework for WAMS" is accepted by IEEE SmartGridComm 2017.
June 2017: I start to work on a new project named ARMORE whose objective is to design an online, context-aware, intelligent framework for anomaly detection, anomalous data analysis, causal reasoning, consequence indication and response suggestion for SCADA networks.
August 2016: I finished my summer internship at Facebook in Menlo Park.
July 2016: My paper "OLAF: Operation-Level Traffic Analyzer Framework for Smart Grid" is published in IEEE SmartGridComm 2016.
August 2015: I finished my summer internship at Google in Mountain View.
March 2015: My co-authered paper “Secure and Scalable Data Collection with Time Minimization in the Smart Grid” is accepted by IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid.
